JOO-Leeteuk, To do love song ‘First-time duet’

Singer JOO and Super Junior Leeteuk will be releasing a duet.

Since last 6th, JOO made many people curious with her sweet talk with 2PM Wooyoung, Chansung, and Taecyeon. Fianlly, today on the 10th, she uploaded a picture of her and Leeteuk on MeToday and revealed that the duet will be released sometime in middle of May as a digital single.

In the relay of MeTodays, 2PM Wooyoung said ‘Are all girls like this. Do their moods change 12 times a day? It’s hard, it’s hard. Because of you my head hurts.’

To this JOO said to Wooyoung ‘Do guys really not know, that every word is important? Why don’t you know my heart. Fool. Didn’t even feel love.’ and on the 7th, Chansung said, ‘I can’t even get angry. How did this come to be.’ and JOO replied ‘Oppa, you know that well. Sometimes I am selfish, but I only like one person.’

On the 8th, Taecyeon said, ‘I think you’re angry. I tried hard today too. She soon smiled and wasn’t mad. Even though it’s hard, I melt, I melt. Because of you, everyday, I melt.’

To this netizens commented, ‘This sounds like lyrics to a song’, ’2PM and JOO are going to have a duet?’.

And then on the 10th, Leeteuk uploaded a photo of himself with JOO, smiling brightly with ice cream, through twitter.

There is much anticipation to the first time duet of Leeteuk and JOO.

Super Show 3 Vietnam Press Conference

Q: Can you share your feelings as this is your 2nd time in VN?
A: Very surprised by the warm welcome. And what is more surprising is that this time there are even more fans. We have many sub-units: SJM, SJT, SJH, maybe after this show we will have SJV for Vietnam.

Q: VN ELFs has presented Eeteuk with a star named PJS’sWIngs. How do you feel/
A: I was so touched to get it, it makes me love VN fans even more. That star is named after my Korean name, I will always keep that star and if I have a chance to fly into cosmos I will bring it along.

Q: What is your first impression before concert in Vietnam?
A: The very first impression is it is too hot in Vietnam. The most memorable experience is this place’s hotness. Every Super Show in Asia it rained and surprisingly it’s gonna rain. We think that it is raining to welcome the show and bring something cool.

Q: This is for Heechul. Have you been well recently? After the accident in Shanghai, you no longer perform Poker Face on SS3. So this time after a long time to rest, and the last SS3 too, will Lady HeeHee show up this time?
A: My health is in its best condition. If it doesn’t rain you will experience the best Lady HeeHee ever.

Q: What have you prepared for this SS3 in Vietnam?
A: A lot. Not just the whole group but also each individual will have their own solo stages and we hope Vietnamese ELF will enjoy enthusiastically despite how the weather may turn out to be.

Q: What is your memory of SS3 in Asia? And what specialty will you bring to VN audience?
A: We are warmly-welcome wherever we go and it makes us so happy during our concerts. And in this last show of SS3, it will be special one. We have prepared carefully and it will be a great show for VN ELF.

SM Reveals Current Casts For “Hana Kimi”

                             

SME finally reveals the cast lists for their upcoming remake drama “Hana Kimi”.

A few months ago, we reported that SME is set to produce a new drama, which is “Hana Kimi”. After that announcement, fans were excited and started making their own virtual casts for the drama. It was rumored that SM officials have now released part of the cast list on their official site.

The current cast list has:

Minho (SHINee) - popular high-jump athlete, Izumi Sano
Yoona (SNSD) – will be the female lead Mizuki Ashiya
Heechul (Super Junior) – as Shuichi Nakatsu who fell for Mizuki Ashiya, causing him to be confused of his own sexuality
Leeteuk (Super Junior) – a flirtatious senior

Though the current cast list was already revealed, there is still a possibility that it will undergo some changes in the drama.

MTV K Top 10 Cross-Dressing Idols – Vote for Lady HEE HEE !!

                          

                           

K-Pop and cross-dressing seems to go hand in hand. The very fact that there were more than 10 choices (I had to whittle down from a list of about 25) for the top 10 cross-dressing idols is a little frightening. Yet, nothing gives a male idol more popularity than some mascara, a wig and a tight dress.

When it came to Super Junior, it was a difficult choice between Leeteuk, Sungmin, Kyuhyun and Heechul but MTV K’s Twitter followers unanimously gave a clear answer. Heenim wins overall. He was also the subject of an April Fool’s Day joke — Super Junior C (Cross-Dressing.)

Five idol taboos broken by the ‘Big Space Star’ Kim Heechul

Within five years of his debut, Super Junior’s Kim Heechul has not only skyrocketed to fame, but he’s also become a formidable star in the celebrity stratosphere.

Heechul first debuted as a member of Super Junior back in 2005, and caught everyone’s attention with his pretty boy looks.  Producers from the acting industry were quick to cast this handsome rookie, which eventually landed him a role in KBS’s “Banolim.” From the start of his career, Heechul doubled his potential by walking on dual paths as an actor and a singer.

But it’s not only his career choices alone that made his star rise.

Perhaps it’s because he was born in the natural and carefree city of Kwangwon-do, but Heechul has never hesitated to express his thoughts nor compromise his bright and outgoing personality. Although this soon became the reason why he’s developed a strong fanbase, it’s also given birth a lot of anti-fans as well.

Despite it all, he’s managed to reach the sixth year of his career today, and is still the same confident person fans fell in love with from the start; now the general public is finally beginning to recognize his genuine merit.

He’s managed to turn his antis into fans, all the while breaking the taboos laid against idol singers.  Star News came up with the ‘Top 5′ taboos that Heechul’s moved against, which are as follows:

1. He calls himself the ‘Big Space Star,’ and managed to go up against gagman Kim Gura.

Before the arrival of Heechul, the virtue of idols was strict modesty. Idols were expected to scream “No!” once complimented, whether it be for their looks, talents, or whatever else was being referred to.

But Heechul was different.  He confidently declared, “I am kind of handsome.“  Although this statement brought him many antis, his ‘consistent cockiness’ through the past five years has ironically engrained a sense of sincere honesty; something that even antis couldn’t argue against.

Now, when he declares himself as a ‘big space star’ on broadcast programs, nobody crinkles their face in disagreement, but laughs along, amused.

His confidence was even seen before Kim Gura, who’s notorious for his harsh remarks. Heechul regarded him with respect, while at the same time, expressing all that he wanted. Such confidence earned him an honorable high five from the gagman.

Heechul commented, “I’m not really a respectful child, but I never hide myself from others. It’s the same from when I addressed Gura-hyung.  He does give way for me a lot, but what I think is personally weird is that I’m a great fan of the harsh criticisms Gura and Myungsu-hyung dishes out.  Maybe because they’re confident as well? (laughter)”

2. The first voice imitation of SM’s Lee Soo Man, was of course, done by none other than Heechul.

Heechul’s fearlessness has made even SM representatives surprised over his actions. Moments after his debut, Heechul did a voice imitation of SM’s producer, Lee Soo Man, that not only surprised his manager, but representatives alike, as it was the first time any star attempted such an act.

He explained, “On a broadcast show, I did once imitate his voice.  I did it to have some fun, but my manager hyungs acted really shocked and discussed in length with the PDs about whether to let it go out on broadcast or not.  I called Lee Soo Man and asked, ‘I imitated your voice in a positive way. This can be aired, right?’  He said, ‘Sure, I trust that our Heechul is a respectful child.  I could say no, but that will make you do it more, so just let it air.’  Ever since then, many different SM stars have imitated his voice (laughter).”

3. Despite being an SM star, he’s often seen on broadcast programs saying, “YG and JYP, fighting!“

The rivalry between the top three, SME, JYPE, and YGE, is known by any Korean music fan.  Although it’s a competition created with good will, artists have always been seen rooting for their own labels in public programs.

Asked about his favorite girl group member, Heechul didn’t choose an SM labelmate, but the Wonder Girls‘ Sohee from JYPE.   SNSD’s Yoona later retorted, “Oppa, why do you only like Sohee?”  He replied back, “You’re closer with 2PM than you are with me!”

Recently, at his “Young Street” radio program, he even sang a song from 1TYM and shouted out, “YG Family, peace! Fighting!“    Because fans know that he loves the SM family more than anyone else, they’re able to laugh off such cute antics in good humor.

4. Being an idol himself, he once claimed, “There’s too much idol music.  I hope band music makes a comeback.“

Although he’s nearly 29 years old now, Heechul is still one of the representative idol figures.  But for such an idol to exclaim on a radio broadcast, “In our country’s broadcast industry, idol music is too strong.  I hope band music and other varieties of genres will receive much love as well.”

As a radio DJ, he comes across not only popular music, but a wider variety of genres as well.  Through his experience, he claimed that he realized the only way for people to genuinely love and become interested in idol music is for other genres to receive just as much love.

5. The public easily understands why he calls himself BoA’s brother and labels IU as a “singer song student.”

It’s rare to see anyon treat Asia’s star, BoA, with such fearlessness because of her stature.  As you’ve guessed by now, Kim Heechul is the exception.  He once claimed on a radio show that BoA has impressive drinking skills, which BoA was able to laugh off because she knows his personality better than anyone else.  To music fans, they’ve become affectionately known as the ‘angry siblings.’

Heechul’s fearlessness doesn’t end there, though; his new target is the nation’s new little sister, IU.  Before IU hit it big with “Good Day,” she used to appear as a fixed guest on his radio program.  She received the nickname “singer song student” by Heechul, which he explained to mean a high school student with exceptional talents in music.

Heechul commented, “BoA is like my little sibling.  When we’re together, we treat each other with both warmth and swears (laughter).  And IU used to have a difficult time regarding me, but now she’s become a great little sister.  It might be hard to believe, but I do get shy around new people.  Even so, once I get close with someone, I stick by them until the end.  This personality has worked well in getting close with BoA and IU (laughter).”

Ryeowook “Let’s Hop Forward Like A Rabbit In 2011!"

“Let’s hop forward like a rabbit in 2011!”

With the energetic start of a year of rabbit, a male and a female stars visited Sportsseoul. They were Super Junior’s Ryeowook and Afterschool’s Jooyeon. Two who were born in 1987 are actively working in their respective fields. Ryeowook is currently showing his superb singing ability as popular group Super Junior’s main vocal. Jooyeon is a member of power girl group Afterschool and received positive reviews on her acting in KBS1 daily drama Smile, Donghae. As this year is the year of rabbit, we invited and interviewed the two stars who we believe will shine more this year. At first, Ryeowook and Jooyeon were awkward toward each other saying they met each other occasionally on gayo programs. However, they soon became close by the fact that they are the same age and they posed friendly together while wearing rabbit hats. Jooyeon- You were really busy last year, right?

Ryeowook- Yes. In 2009, we spent a thankful year with Super Junior’s Sorry Sorry receiving Daesang. In 2010, the fourth album title song Miinah received huge love. For me personally, it was a meaningful year. I had a duet song with Beige and sang the OSTs of three national channels’ dramas with MBC Home Sweet Home, KBS2 President and SBS It’s Okay, Daddy’s Daughter. I like watching dramas and I felt honored that I got to sing the OST. Also, I was busy with overseas activity. I went on Asia tour with Super Junior’s concert and I went to LA and Shanghai to participate in the SM Town concert. Also, I performed in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Kobe and Taiwan as part of Super Junior’s unit KRY’s activity.

Joo- What do you think was the most meaningful event for you last year?

Ryeo- Becoming number one on gayo programs with Miinah last yer was most memorable. Even though I thought, “don’t focus on receiving awards” it felt good to become number one.

Joo- What’s your wish for the new year?

Ryeo- I hope Super Junior continues to receive fans’ love and I want fans to think that “Ryeowook’s a hard working young man who sings well” when they first think about me. Ah! Also, I want the members to be healthy. As individual activities increased, some of the members are going to the hospital often. I want them to eat well and become healthy.

Joo- I hope that things don’t occur that makes life hard or make me unhappy.

Ryeo- I hope so too. I hope that indiscriminate and malicious comments on celebrities disappear this year. I don’t think absolute criticisms are correct. There were some celebrities who suffered big hardships because of malicious comments. Celebrities are delicate people too, just like any other people.

Ryeo- I want to do a musical this year. So, I’m currently receiving vocal and acting trainings. Many idol group members have been appearing in musicals recently. Since I was in high school, watching friends who are acting and singing in musical, I thought to myself, “I want to do that too.”

Joo- Ryeowook, isn’t it hard for you since besides being in Super Junior, you are in Super Junior KRY and Super Junior M?

Ryeo- It’s hard at times. For instance, I love to drink. I normally drink three bottles of soju. But before a concert, I don’t drink. I don’t even drink a soda…. Since I’m in several units, there are a lot of concerts. So, there are many times when I can’t drink. It’s difficult, but I have to do my best because it’s important for a singer to take care of his throat.

Ryeo- I hope all rabbit celebrities including Jooyeon hop like a rabbit to have big presence in their respective field.
